About Maßband Online

What is Maßband Online?

Maßband Online is a free, instant online ruler and digital tape measure that displays centimeters, millimeters, and inches at actual physical size directly inside your web browser. No app to install, no sign-up required, and no ads obstructing your measurement area.

Unlike standard browser rulers that assume an arbitrary 96 PPI default (which can cause measurement discrepancies of up to 35% on high-DPI screens), Maßband Online lets you calibrate to your screen using four methods: automatic detection, device database selection, screen diagonal entry, or by matching a standard physical credit card against your display. Once calibrated, 1 cm on screen equals exactly 1 physical centimeter.

Our Mission

Measurement should be instant, reliable, and free. We built Maßband Online because we frequently needed a quick physical ruler that wasn't nearby — and existing online tools were inaccurate, cluttered with banners, or forced unnecessary app downloads. Maßband Online is fast, private, and precise by default.
